AVPTTA
Project Date: 2007-2012AVPTTA is an association located in Cotonou, the capital city of Benin. With a large and well organized workshop the group is capable of producing 2000 products per month. The goal of the association is to increase the value and promote the traditional weaving of their home region of Abomey. All of the full time employees receive health care and a monthly wage. AVPTTA sells through a retail shop on their site as well as at a variety of trade fairs throughout Africa and Europe. A line of their pillows was featured in the spring 2009 Sundance Catalog and they also have products in Sheraton Hotels in Cotonou.
