Centre Christine Dramou
Project Dates: 2007 - 2012Centre Christine Dramou was established in 1986 to train, educate and help very young mothers and high school dropouts to readjust into society. The center now has 25 full-time women who specialize in dying, knotting, batik and embroidery. The fabric for their curtains is bought from another local artisan and then designed and dyed in vibrant colors and patterns. They have exhibited at the SIAO show in Ouagadougou and participated in SIDIM as part of the Design Africa program.
