Arte Comasagua
The artisans work with 100% natural materials of dried flower petals and leaves cultivated and gathered in the coffee-producing mountain range of Comasagua, El Salvador. The purchase of these products contributes to the development of women’s roles in business as these artisans and their families have endured the hardship of unemployment, because of the devastating earthquakes of 2001, as well as the worldwide global coffee crisis. Early success in the U.S. market has brought them hope. Their products have appeared in Pottery Barn catalogs and in some Whole Foods stores.
